The ‘111+1’ exhibition by Matthias Trager is starting tomorrow at 7pm at the HeadEgg Pavilion in Munich. The artist, who was born in 1982, is still studying at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, but has already attracted a lot of attention for his crossover works, including objects made from natural materials like Himalayan balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) or butterbur root (Petasites Hybridus).
The HeadEgg Pavilion at Trogerstraße 19 in the Munich district of Bogenhausen belongs to the exhibition platform founded by renowned photographer Hubertus Hamm in 2009 and surprises with its unusual exhibition concept: the exhibition space can only be seen through its window – which means that it’s open around the clock. And is also why the opening event is taking place outside. But don’t worry, if it rains there will be a place for you to keep dry!
