Enrico Paniccià, Managing Director Giano (Licensee La Martina shoes)

What do you think about the earlier date of the GDS tradefair next summer?
»Wonderful! I really appreciate it. German customers like to buy in advance, so July and February are perfect dates. And it is also good for the Mikam tradefair too. Because Mikam is after the GDS we have then the time to remeet the customers. We think it is a very good chance for the shoe market.«

How would you describe the mood?
»Since 2006 we are licensee of La Martina shoes. For us it was a great success because the Argentinian brand La Martina didn't do any shoes at all and we started with them to think, to realise and to design the shoes. Now Germany is the best market for us. We sell in the best shoe shops in Germany. Our shoes are really appreciated by the consumers and we are in the right position in the market. Of course we want to grow in the future with new shoes and strategies.«

How would you describe the trends for next spring/summer?
»We always try to add the Polo mood to the new trends for the next season. For women color is represented in a different way, with washed and very soft materials. We have new constructions like new heel sandals. For men we have many new shoes with different kinds of outsole. Many details like the stitching represent the La Martina Polo DNA.«
