MTWTFSS Weekday is constantly surprising us with designer collaborations that breathe fresh fashionable air into the retail scene. For example, like the latest gems that will be available from 17 February in all Weekday stores.
This time the Swedish label is teaming up with two London fashion design graduates from the renowned Central Saint Martins College, who recently presented their impressive final year projects on the catwalk.
Rejina Pyo, who already won the Han Nefkens Fashion Award this year, was inspired by contemporary art and sculpture for her Weekday collection, and created a timeless style with abstract shapes and two-dimensional colour blocks that convey a certain sense of freedom. During the design process, Pyo focused on the simple beauty of things.
The second collaboration partner, William Hendry, provided Weekday with a masculine interpretation of his graduate ladies' collection. It combines aesthetics, functionality and simplicity all at the same time – always with high demands on the tailoring, production and use of the garment. Hendry always thinks about how he can reduce his designs, rather than adding to them.
And here at J'N'C we can't wait to see them!
