Art makes fashion. New Yorker Lola Montes Schnabel has designed the third series of the Carte Blanche artist cooperation for the Max Mara brand Sportmax. She drew inspiration from her own style as a painter: watercolours on scarves, tops and bags, hand-decorated with natural pigments.
With Carte Blanche, Italian fashion house Max Mara is using the imagination of different contemporary artists to bring a special capsule collection to its stores. Following in the footsteps of Christophe Brunnquell and Kim Gordon, artist and sculptor Lola Montes from the creative New York scene and daughter of Julian Schnabel, has been brought on board for 2012. Lola' mini collection, in a limited edition of 1.000, was presented at the men's fashion show in Milan and is available together with the Sportmax summer collection.
