Upon their return to New Haven, their place of origin, the casual and sportswear label Gant is presenting a special collection of its classic: the Yale Gant Co-op shirts in a new edition.
The original Oxford cloth button-down shirt (OCBD) from the 1960s, a favourite amongst the elite students from Yale University nearby, greatly contributed to the success of the American label in its first location on 120 Haven Street. Now Gant has returned to New Haven with a campus store.
The legendary OCBD shirts for spring/summer 2012 have been given a new silhouette and a woven label and sixties-style packaging as a reminder of the first great successes of the shirt manufacturers.
Yale's elite and preppies shouldn't wait too long though. The much-coveted items are only available in limited quantities.
