Tomorrow, right on time for Fashion Week, Cheap Monday is opening its first stand-alone store in London. And to celebrate this important occasion the Swedish jeans and fashion label has prepared a whole host of treats for its fans.
A party bus will be taking passengers along the route from the new store on Carnaby Street to the hub of Fashion Week, Somerset House, which, amongst others, houses the Institute of Art History. Spontaneous stops will ensure plenty of fun and games while another party will be going on inside the shop: bands and DJs will be performing during the week while shoppers eagerly browse the shelves – both in the shop itself as well as in the concession store within chic department store Selfridges.
This is also where, from tomorrow, Cheap Monday will be presenting jeans and accessories as a teaser from the new 12/13 winter collection, which was recently shown on 31 January at Fashion Week in Stockholm. There will also be a series of T-shirts, with a total of four prints each with a limited edition of 50. And if all this still isn’t enough, you can also partake in a sort of treasure hunt through the trendy district of Soho: jeans will be hanging on many buildings and fences in the area so feel free to snare yourself a pair!
After all, the motto this week at Cheap Monday is first come, first served.
