Victorinox Protect Insulated Parka Bag
Christopher Raeburn’s last capsule collection for the traditional Swiss company Victorinox was so successful that the inventors of the 'Original Swiss Army Knife' icon invited the London-based fashion designer into a new collaboration. Inspired by a surplus Swiss Army jacket from the seventies, and hot on the heels of his British Fashion Award, Raeburn designed a capsule collection consisting of seven multifunctional garments.
The collection’s name ‘Protect’ refers not only to the original function of clothing as a protection from the elements but also to the protection of the environment, as the Protect Capsule Collection utilizes a mix of recycled and sustainable fabrics.
All garments are masters of metamorphosis. For example, the ‘Insulated Parka Bag’ is foldable from an oversized coat to a backpack in six steps. Or the ‘Packable Raincoat', which is also foldable in six steps and comes with a stowable hoodie, an integrated Inova torch and a keyholder in an inside pocket. A nice detail is the camo print based on abstracted Victorinox cross-and-shield logo.
The Protect capsule collection will be available with the next A/W Collection in all Victorinox Flagship stores.
