Malene Birger, founder of the Danish fashion label 'By Malene Birger', is not only a fashion designer but also a specially selected ambassador for UNICEF Denmark.
2004 she started to create special 'By Malene Birger for UNICEF'- items which have been sold each season. All proceeds are donated to the United Nations Children's Fund with the aim to improve educational opportunities for the children in Togo. And until now 500.000 € have been contributed to this project.
To follow up on the progress, Ms Birger recently flew to Togo to visit various schools.
"An amazing experience and opportunity. It was very moving and at the same time very satisfying to see the money we donate already in place towards improving the lives of children in Togo" says Malene Birger.
