Once a year, the 'Wiesn' in Munich turns into a pure dirndl fashion show. On the world-famous Oktoberfest women can show what traditional costumes they guard in their closets. But even classics need now and then a Makeover. So the designer Wolfgang Joop and Galeria Kaufhof created a new version of the traditional dirndl for the house brand 'Galeria Design'.
Through the reinterpretation the former dirndl dress is cocktail dress and regional costume in one. In contrast to the otherwise colorful clothes, the new creation has been kept in black jacquard fabric and is decorated with ruffles. Details like rhinestone studs at the neckline and bodice with rhinestones hooks provide a special touch. Compatible with this, there are a blouse with puff sleeves, black knit stockings and costume jewelry with a heart motif.Who has not dared until today should by now get himself a Dirndl. For no item of clothing so cleverly reflects the mix of tradition and modernity!
The Oktoberfest-Outfit will be available from mid-July in selected Galeria Kaufhof department stores.
