The Eastpak bags: they exist in the form of backpacks, shoulder bags or laptop bags. But does one of them also fit into the category 'perfect bag for a 24-hour day' ? Not yet, but soon! Since 17 April, the American bag label has called all creative heads to participate in the 'Bag in Town design contest', to create an aesthetic and multi-functional urban backpack.
In collaboration with the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) and the portal creativecontexts.com the study of the relationship between supply and pocket urban environment is to provide a reinterpretation of the classic Eastpak backpack. This project gives emerging artists from around the world the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and get in contact with the real business world.By 10 July 2012, anyone from 18 years can submit design proposals under www.bagintown.net. The winner receives a prize of € 5,000 and the chance to design his collection in 2013, the Eastpak shape. We are looking forward to the results!
