On the occasion of the Fuorisalone 2012 in Milan, which takes place parallel to the furniture exhibition Salone del Mobile, the Italian denim and casual wear label Diesel presented his new home collection 'Successful Living from Diesel' on 18 April. In addition to current cooperations with the lighting manufacturer Foscarini and Moroso furniture designers, the Italian kitchen and furniture manufacturers Scavolini is now for the first time part of the team.
The focus was this time on the launch of the 'Social Kitchen', which is consistent with the philosophy of Diesel and represents a perfect party room. As the trend in large cities tends and more and more to multi-functional kitchens, where meals are cooked and eaten and special occasions are celebrated, precisely this lifestyle was realized in the new design.
The new kitchen designs are among other things available in the simple and convenient variant of 'Casual Comfort' or in a typical Diesel rock style in the 'Dark'. And once more the design is characterized by the vintage character of Diesel, but new are the special techniques used to age materials such as wood, steel, cement, and processed glass with metal.
