60 years O'Neill: That calls for a celebration! The historical action sports brand O'Neill celebrates its 60th anniversary globally with several events, a special T-shirt collection and an illustrated book for an entire year.
Matching the innovative character of the company a series of events were assembled for the "60th Anniversary Tour events" where the world's best surfers are going to meet. The "O'Neill 60 Years of Innovation Art Tour" is the best way to celebrate Jack O'Neill's unlimited vision and his company. The exhibition features works by numerous employees such as Thomas Campbell, Geoff McFetridge, and Jim Phillips Junior. And last but not least, the new coffee table book highlights the development from Jack O'Neill invented wetsuit up to the surf team and the latest innovations.
The shirts that were especially designed for the 60th anniversary reflect the history of the company with vintage prints. Photographer Joni Sternbach has succeeded in combining nostalgia and present by using a large format camera and the collodion wet plate process. For this, some of the world's most famous surfer were standing in front of her camera, such as Jordy Smith, John John Florence, Mark Mathews and Kevin Langeree.
