Latest news from Converse: The French artist and hotelier André Saraiva, universally known for his stick figure 'Mr. A', has designed the 'André for Converse Collection' for the American sports lifestyle brand. The focus was on the Chuck Taylor All Star: "I chose this shoe, because it is the one I've been wearing since I was 13", says Savaira.
The "Love"-model with pink sole and laces in the same color is an allusion to Saraivas Hôtel Amour in Paris. The 'Purple' model also bears his name for a reason: Savaira devoted the sneaker to his friend Olivier Zahm, editor of the Purple Magazine.
The upper material of the shoes consists of natural canvas, the lining of smooth and high quality leather. On the tongue of the shoe, a "Monsieur A"-signature can be found and the ankle provides space for the typical André crest. The shoes are now available in selected First String dealers worldwide.
