London underground spirit meets fashion-conscious Düsseldorf: Club Kid, the first concept store in Germany with special focus on the London brand BOY London, was opened on Saturday, 6 October 2012 in Düsseldorf. With the new location in the former art gallery on Pionierstraße, the store brings London club scene lifestyle to the state capital.
"BOY London is a tribute to the club kids of the 70s and 80s. Our goal is to bring exactly this spirit to Germany and to make unknown labels such as Black Sanctuary and Destroy Culture by Shaun Bass known here", says Lukas Raab, Store Manager of Club Kid.
When entering the about 70 square meter big store that is completely held in black and white, visitors are greeted by a giant Andy Warhol's face with a BOY London Cap. Along with the iconic London BOY cap, which Andy Warhol already wore, the store offers exclusive special editions of BOY London, which are not on sale in the online store, and the British brands Long Clothing and Underground Shoes. Selected pieces of jewelry from Black Sanctuary and art of the in London and Cologne living artist Sylvie Tillmann complete the repertoire. Let the kids club!
