30 years of toughness – on its round birthday, the Japanese watch brand G-Shock does not want to miss celebrating 30 years of success. As the New Yorkers got an exclusive concert of Eminem for the start of the anniversary year, G-Shock has come up with something special for the Europeans: In the course of 2013, temporary G-Shock Stores – the G-Sessions – will emerge across Europe.
It all starts in Berlin: Matching the Fashion Week in January, the first shop will open in Torstrasse 66. There, visitors can not only examine the latest models and most exciting collaborations of the G-Shock series, but also the watches' development since 1983 on the history wall.
On 22 November, a 30th Anniversary G-Shock G-Sessions Store Preview took place in the future shop. More than 250 guests listened to the beats of Claas Brieler, a member of the six-member club collective Jazzanova, and had a look at the live performance of graffiti legend Mode 2. The Mauritius-born artist painted a show window of the G-session stores. We are thus excited to find out which logo will present the very first G-Sessions Store in January 2013.
