At last, the US-based action sports brand O'Neill starts designing shoes. For fall/winter 2013/14, the first collection from O'Neill footwear goes on sale.
Design and development are due to SHOE 52 B.V., a Dutch subsidiary of the BOS Group.
Five models are going to be unveiled at the Bright in Berlin, the GDS in Dusseldorf and the ISPO in Munich: Lifestyle Casual, Lifestyle California, Lifestyle Capture, Lifestyle Rider und Adventure. All models impress with the usual casual style, practical features such as laces with silicone core, which do not break even in freezing temperatures, or technical extras like taped seams and micro fleece lining.
Another highlight is the grip profile on the outsole, a pattern inspired by surf shoes. Our conclusion: footwear with boarder DNA and O'Neill surf heritage.
