Urban, casual und sophisticated – these qualities not only describe Closed, the premium fashion label from Hamburg, but also the multi-label store 14 oz. in Berlin, which is run by Bread & Butter head honcho Karl-Heinz Müller. So it’s not surprising that after brief consultation both camps decided to join forces and work together on a collaboration. The first Closed store will open at the beginning of July in Berlin-Mitte on Alte Schönhauser Straße.
And a new, individual retail concept has been specially developed: high-quality materials and traditional design elements form the basis of the authentic interior. The Berlin office s1 architektur, which has already accompanied Bread & Butter for many years and which, amongst other projects, made a name for itself with the design concept of the 14 oz. store, was commissioned with the planning and realisation of ‘Closed by 14 oz.’ And needless to say, the cooperation is much more about a friendship deal of mutual respect rather than a coup de foudre. After all, what was is that German Chancellor Willy Brandt once said? ‘What belongs together should grow together.’
