Jacques Cousteau (1910-1997) has to be the most famous oceanographer of all times, and just in time for his 101st birthday on 11 June, Twothirds is presenting the red ‘Le Capitaine’ beanie edition. An affectionate homage, not only to Cousteau’s famous red woolly hat, but also to his unstinting struggle for the preservation of the seas about which the surf label from San Sebastian feels very strongly too.

That’s why the smart Basques deal in high quality and ecologically sustainable products. The label’s name is also an allusion to the fact that two-thirds of the world is covered by ocean, and so the company is more than just green, it is also blue. J‘N’C is raffling off three of the beanies, made of 100% organic cotton. Just send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
