The Swedish fashion chain Weekday is continuing its series of collaborations with Belgian designer Bruno Pieters. The collection he designed for Weekday is available from 14. October, and is distinguished by elongated narrow silhouettes, whose severity is softened with the use of soft natural fibres like stonewashed silk, modal and wool mélanges.
The colour palette is quite restrained to go with it, including navy, black, brown and nude tones as well as off-whites. Bruno Pieters, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Antwerp, last worked as creative director at Hugo, the fashionably more innovative little sister of Hugo Boss. After two years of fashion abstinence the collaboration with Weekday is something like a small comeback for Pieters. And this much we can reveal: the long-awaited comeback with a new project in his name is due at the end of the year.
