Concrete, one of the most unforgiving materials around, gets flexible. This new material has inspired the Munich-based designer Florian Schmid to bring the 'hard elements' together.
'Stitching Concrete' is a project with which Florian Schmid finds new uses for 'concrete canvas' a relatively new material.
As soon as it has been formed to the desired shape the soft material simply has to be dampened – 24 hours later it has hardened completely and has the stability of concrete. The result: a series of stools – fire and waterproof, UV-resistant and durable. Exciting material! via detaildaily
