It seems as if there’s a new trend emerging: gloves that you don’t have to take off to operate touch screens show that fashion can be the connecting link between people and technology.

Our desire for warm fingers while we’re tapping away at a tablet PC or smartphone in freezing temperatures has recently spawned a series of innovations. Roeckl isn’t the only one using innovative fibres for the fingertips of its gloves, but also Etre. The English communications agency specialises in ‘Experience Design’ and has already come up with a cross between a fingerless mitten and glove in which the fingertips of the thumb and index finger are simply exposed. The follow-up model of this glove is considerably smarter – it can even outsmart touchscreen displays. The contactwoven fibre conducts signals from the fingertips to the display. The new Etre glove will be available in it's online shop from September 5th 2011 - and as it currently feels as if the seasons have been shifted forwards by two months, we recommend you to place your order ASAP!
