The release from the collaboration between German sport-goes-fashion label Puma and Paris retailer Shinzo is dedicated to the fastest man in the world and Puma asset: Usain Bolt. The shoe’s lion head logo is a reminder of Bolt’s track spikes and the pack’s colourways are the same as the national flag of Jamaica, Bolt’s homeland.
Only the cream-coloured sneaker from the pack steps out of line and is only available directly from Shinzo. What they all have in common, however, is sleek colour grading: the Puma stripe logo is hardly visible and only one colour nuance makes it stand out from the upper.
The materials used highlight Puma’s ecological strategy for the future: the upper consists of environmentally-friendly leather, the lining is made from recycled foam, the sole from re-usable rubber and the chemical composition of the dye is water-based.
