Dutch jeans label Denham has teamed up with Turkish denim manufacturer Orta to exclusively create six models for the upcoming spring season, which were all produced using the brand new 'Alchemy One' denim finishing process. The process was developed by Orta Blu, the ecological and sustainable line by Orta, and was recently presented at the Bread & Butter tradeshow in Berlin.
The advantages of the progressive finishing method are plain to see: the denims are less likely to crease, are softer to the touch and dry faster. Due to the fact that the chemicals required for the process are reusable, it is also more environmentally-friendly and less harmful to health. Definitely a step in the right direction.
