Heavy metal fans take note! The Dutch shoe label Floris van Bommel is designing a limited edition heavy metal sneaker exclusively for the band Textures. The special model captures the spirit of the music with its black leather, patent appliqué and silver heel.
From mid-September the cool shoes are available from around 300 euros at www.texturesband.com. The special highlight for all heavy metal fans and everyone who wants to immerse themselves in a different world: the new album "Dualism” and a T-shirt from the band are in the package too.
Heavy metal has always been a passion for Floris, whose family have belonged to the most famous shoe dynasty in the Netherlands since 1734. So it was only a question of time before he dedicated a model to his favourite Dutch band. “They're successful anyway,” says the 35-year-old, “but a few more sneakers never did anyone any harm...”
