“What glasses would I like to wear today?" If it were up to the newly founded Berlin spectacle label OWL Optics, more people would ask themselves this question. The reason why many spectacle-wearing aesthetes make do with one model is obvious: beautiful and affordable glasses are hard to come by.
The makers of Owl Optics, David Kamp und Lars Neckel, want to change this and are setting their sights on high quality glasses made of matte acetate which, thanks to narrow silhouettes and clear contours, are aesthetically pleasing as well as affordable. The three models are called EINS, ZWEI and DREI (ONE, TWO and THREE) and are each available in the colours midnight, rosewood and nude. The company's logo is just as purist: a copper ring attached to the left arm of the frames
By the way, Lars Neckel who is responsible for production and design, previously worked at Mykita for several years. As of now you can order one of the limited edition spectacles at their online shop: there are only a hundred per frame style and colour and including lenses, a pair could be yours from only 150 euros.
