After a break of almost 30 years legendary group The Specials are embarking on a major European tour once again! Reason enough for the long-established, casual British label Fred Perry to enter into a collaboration with the ska band. In the late seventies and early eighties The Specials channelled the rude boy look with black and white suits, loafers and pork pie hats.
In keeping with this style are the two classic polo shirts and the black T-shirt featuring the band’s logo and songs on the back. Even the Fred Perry laurel wreath logo is embroidered in black and white. Their chequerboard logo reflects the tolerant attitude of the band, whose greatest hit single “Ghost Town” was released in 1981 in England during a time of mass unemployment and racism. Two-tone forever!
