For the American label Gant's upcoming spring/summer 2012 collection their guest designer Michael Bastian has been gathering some inspiration from a trip to Hawaii. But it's a trip that only took place in his head because he has never been there.
That certainly hasn't adversely effected the collection though, because Bastian has allowed his creativity full rein. The results are colourful designs for men and women that bring on that summer feeling!
The seventies are also making an appearance colour-wise: light violet, pink, orange, lagoon blue and sunshine yellow dominate. In addition there are playful prints with exotic flowers and melons, hippos, turtles and monkeys. And there are also a few sleek and simple trousers and blazers for the less adventurous. But we are going to have to be patient: the colourful pick-me-ups won't be available till the end of February 2012.
