The Japanese label CDT (Craft Design Technology) has committed itself to timeless design. Its writing utensils are excellently designed, right down to the very last detail and reduced to the essentials.
The most important design factors are harmony and ergonomics. For example, the scissors are suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users. As far as possible, they try to fulfil the proportions of the ‘Golden Ratio’.
Traditional Japanese colours like light green, brown and shades of grey are pleasantly understated and for the patterns they take their inspiration from the historic, decorative flat woven cord, Sanada Himo.
