With John Smedley, Garbstore and Alfred Sargent, London street fashion legend Fred Perry is extending its ‘Friends of Fred’ circle with another three traditional British brands. This autumn’s outfit selection is presenting the quintessence of the Mod style.

John Smedley, the 225-year-old luxury knitwear producer from Derbyshire is contributing its legendary classic Dorset Sweater made from 100 % New Zealand merino wool. The fine-knit sweater is available in black, maroon and midnight blue.

The ‘Rail Kadet Wool Coat’ by Notting Hill-based label Garbstore offers protection against cold and rain. The jacket is made from 100% British wool, which has been keeping the country’s railway workers warm for decades. Details like the canvas sleeve trimming and fine cambrick lining perfectly bridge the gap between vintage and modern.

Renowned shoe manufacturer Alfred Sargent from Yorkshire is presenting the Bexhill Chukka Boot. Made from fine suede and with a high-quality leather sole, the elegant Bexhill Chukka comes in ‘Pinner’, a dark chocolate brown, and ‘Snuff’, a light brown.

And Levi’s Vintage Clothing is returning for a second season. This time with its legendary five pockets, the indigo-coloured 1967 505 Rigid Jeans in slim cut and the Sta-Prest trousers in washed-out wale cord in the colour stone. You snap up the smart items now from the Laurel Wreath Collection shops or online at www.fredperry.com.
