Mod. 'Replica Turkey'
For the second time the fashion house Maison Martin Margiela is cooperating with the London-based eyewear specialists Cutler and Gross. And for the first time they have made use of some historical originals as part of their sunglasses collection 'Replicas'.
Like the ‘Replica Turkey’ design, which is reminiscent of glasses worn by the Turkish army in the eighties, with a more feminine line due to a broader titanium frame. Available in gold and silver. Or the 'Replica France' made of transparent yellow acetate, based on a French design from the seventies. The two other themes are contrast ('Cable Temple') and reduction, represented by the 'Rimless' designs. These appear to have no frame.
From November the handcrafted sunglasses are available from Maison Margiela boutiques and selected stores.
