The paradise destination of Bali inspired the new spring/summer 2012 collection by JULIAANDBEN. Julia Heuse and Ben Klunker travelled to the Indonesian island this spring and the inspiration they discovered there are reflected in the fabrics and colour combinations of the new “Faserland” collection.
Earthy tones like brown, yellow and ochre, as well as grey and black, dominate the outfits. The fabrics are light and flowing and, typical for the Berlin label, often bleached or moon-washed. For women this has resulted in loose dresses, either mini, knee-length or floor-length and flowing shiny-look skirts and the men are wearing classic coats, fabric trousers with a low crotch, silk shirts and tie-dyed shirts: laid-back Berlin attitude mixed with classic aspects and a touch of glamour! You can admire the collection up close during the German Press Days event in Berlin on 27 and 28 October, which is taking place at the Premium tradeshow venue.
