‚Keltakulta‘ – that's what the Finns call the 14-carat yellow gold that is sourced from the far north on the banks of the Ivalo River. The shape and the texture of the gold nuggets found in Finnish Lapland are the most important inspiration for the jewellery label Lapponia.
The label, based in Helsinki relies on traditional workmanship by Finnish goldsmiths and presents smaller collections, like the jewellery set by Björn Weckström.
The 'Sargasso' collection comprises ear studs, a choker and ring, combining untreated surfaces with filigree shapes, which are a homage to the eponymous seaweed, which is found in the North Atlantic Ocean.
