Any label would be hard pushed to find a better store location than Carnaby Street in London’s trendy district, Soho. Since the launch of Cheap Monday’s first shop in Copenhagen in 2009, COO Håkan Ström has been dreaming of such a prime location.
And next February this dream will come true: the first stand-alone Cheap Monday store in England is set to open its doors on the legendary shopping street.
But the label will be staying true to its previous concept and industrial style aesthetic: tiled walls, visible piping, beams and grating on the ceiling, as well as shelves made from wire mesh and unobtrusively positioned halogen lights. The perfect surroundings for the alternative pieces by the Swedish label. And with two floors and a total area of 330m² it’s highly unlikely you’ll be leaving empty-handed!
