The casual British traditionalists from Fred Perry have teamed up with London label ‘6876’ to release a ten-part menswear collection. The name of the label, 6876 or ‘sixeightsevensix’ as it is pronounced, is a reference to the French student riots of 1968 and the beginning of the punk movement in 1976.
Founded in the mid-nineties by Kenneth MacKenzie, the design collective attaches great importance to purist tailoring with subtle details, the use of high-quality materials and cooperations with traditional British manufacturers.
This collection of ten pieces includes remakes from the 6876 archives and reinterpretations of Fred Perry classics. Like the lambswool ‘2007 Slit Roll Neck’ which was produced in Scotland. Or the limited edition ‘Archive Car Coat’ made from water-repellent material from outerwear specialist British Millerain, which not only stands out with its clean, simple lines, but also a number of well- designed details.
