Here's a small appetizer on the hoof, to prepare you for the latest collaboration by L.A.-based skate label HUF, for which the innovative ex-pro skater Keith Hufnagel got two specialists on board. Firstly the skateboard distributor DLX, and secondly, the Japanese artist and skateboarder Haroshi.
He's been ensuring plenty of turned heads for quite a while now with his off-the-wall sculptures made of old skate decks. First he cuts up or shreds worn-out skateboards and then sticks single layers together again. The result is a wood-mosaic style, like his legendary dunk sculpture, which he made for Nike. We are already waiting with bated breath to see what the limited edition HUF x Haroshi x DLX collaboration will look like. Available from January 2012.
