The American teams of the Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games in 2012 have found another official outfitter. Ralph Lauren will be dressing the top American athletes before and during the event – for example at the opening and closing parades.
In addition to this, the label is also designing a collection of leisurewear and accessories for the team’s sportsmen and women. And beginning in May it will be available to the public for purchase from selected stores.
The collection stands out with its mix of modern sporty silhouettes and reissued vintage models inspired by the Olympic Games in 1948. And of course it also has a patriotic colour scheme, consisting of red, white and marine blue, which gives it the all-American appeal.
We hope that this much style brings the team’s world-class athletes like Jessica Long (Paralympics: swimming) and Bryan Clay (athletics: decathlon) plenty of luck.
