Die-hard sneaker fans have had a long wait, but the third sneaker collaboration from Asics and the Amsterdam cult store Patta was finally unveiled on 22 December 2011.
The sneaker is unmistakeably the result of a love for Amsterdam, reflected in the colours of the city’s coat of arms – black, white and red. But even that would have been too subtle – which is why the shoe also features the Andrew’s crosses from the city’s crest on the tongue and laces. In combination with materials like leather, suede and imitation pony hair, the trainer is a real eyecatcher – and very much expresses a true declaration of love for the Dutch capital.
