The Turkish jeans label is on the lookout for new denim recipes and is asking Berlin's artists to cook up a storm in the kitchen at this season's Bread & Butter tradeshow in Berlin: following Mavi's tried-and-tested motto "We cook the perfect fit!" Anton Unai, 44flavours and Ruby Anemic – armed with spray paint, thread, scissors and brush – will be getting creative customising their own individual jeans.
And so the tradeshow stand located in the Denim Base will once again be transformed into the Denim Kitchen, and – as we experienced at the last Bread & Butter – it is sure to attract crowds of curious onlookers.The sewing, weaving, spraying, ripping, dyeing, sticking and designing can be admired up close at the tradeshow from 18 -20 January – and the different characters of the artists speak for themselves: we can't wait to see Unai's work incorporating his favourite materials – rusty nails and old newspapers – plus the mix of urban art forms with pop-art by 44flavours and Ruby's contemporary style.
