It stands to reason that labels will always try to present their new collections as spectacularly as possible during Fashion Week. The same goes for the skate label Vans, who really went all out with a big party for their own Fashion Week.
One thousand guests were invited to toast the OTW spring and autumn collections for 2012, and they partied till the dome of the department's hall shook. It was THE urban event of the Fashion Week and brought international music greats like Mos Def and Lupe Fiasco together in Berlin's Mitte; along with Patta Soundsystem it made for a musically unforgettable evening.
Whilst the hip hoppers blasted the audience with their biggest hits and laid down some near-perfect freestyles, the in-house exhibition was also very popular. Photos by the Parisian artist Dimitri Coste, art installations by Eric Elms from Brooklyn as well as sculptures by the Hong Kong resident Chris Kong could be admired. A party that truly rocked.
