'This is not a fashion film' is the title of the film short being broadcast at London Fashion Week in the Canon Cinema in Somerset House between 9am and 1pm. Direction, script and production was all done by the film aficionados Adam and Tree Carr from the East London film/radio/event factory 'Today is boring' for the fashion label David David, also based in London.

And those who have seen some of this busy couple's work know that their working methods aspire to be explicitly artistic and are anything but conventional.

That's perfect for David Saunders, the man behind the label David David. Originally a painter - he was Tracey Emin's assistant for a while – he turned to fashion seven years ago. Since then he has come to exemplify modern London style with his in-your-face geometric prints, at the interface between art and fashion.

His autumn/winter collection 2012/13 promises to be dark and mysterious just like the synopsis of the fashion film short: boy meets girl, they spend the night together and the next morning she wanders through his flat, trawling through his clothes and belongings in order to unlock the mystery of the man and get closer to him. In her longing, somewhere between dream and reality, she changes into him.

Not to be missed!

- Monday from 9am to 1pm in the Canon Cinema in Somerset House, near Waterloo Bridge

- Wednesday at the David David pop-up store in Covent Garden.
