Simple, beautiful and wearable. Last Saturday, 9. July, as part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Hien Le showed his second own collection – and was greeted with standing ovations from the fashion crowd. The men's and womenswear collection by the 31-year-old designer featured summery colour blocking in bright signal red, champagne, cornflower blue and warm yellow.
Whilst the girls' silhouettes were wide and flowing, the boys' suits and shorts were more figure hugging. Fans of labels like Acne or COS will definitely love Hien Le: clothes that are contemporary but timeless at the same time. Born in Thailand, the trained tailor now lives and works in Berlin. He studied at the FHTW before Belgian designer Veronique Branquinho hired him. Hien Le also came in third in the 'Start Your Fashion Business' competition.
