‚The Knit Monster‘ by Sibling
The exhibition 'Wool Modern' is stopping over in Berlin. From 4. until 15. October Galeria Kaufhof on Berlin's Alexanderplatz will be all about wool. Filling the shop windows and on all floors of the Berlin departments store the curator Charlotte Lurot will be designing the presentations modelled on the London example.
Highlights are design objects from Alexander McQueen, Mark Fast, Erdem, Giles, Sandra Backlund and Paul Smith, amongst others, as well as the progressive London men's knitwear label Sibling. Also on display will be interior design objects from Angela Wright, Johann Richter, Nicky Grey, Not Tom and others. The organiser of 'Wool Modern' is the initiative founded by the British heir to the throne, Prince Charles, called 'Campaign for Wool', which highlights the advantages of the natural fibre in the context of the vast spectrum of technical and design-orientated possibilities of the 21st century.
