Calling all aesthetic fans – the film festival “A Shaded View On Fashion Film” is starting today in Barcelona under the auspices of fashion blog icon Diane Pernet. Noteworthy personalities from the worlds of film, art and fashion will gather here for four days, forming an international jury of critics, actors, curators, creative directors, designers and photographers to award the best short films.
Since 2008 the films have been rated in the categories Official and Students – but this year will see the addition of a world premiere: for the first time there is also the category Mobile Phone, a competition for the best uncut films lasting less than one minute.
The prizes, which will be awarded over the next few days in these categories, are divided into Best Film, Best Art Direction, Best Soundtrack, Best Director of Fashion and Best Student Film. But there’s a lot more to experience than fashion, style and beauty films and their ratings: showings, conferences, performances, installations and debates, focusing on the trend of fashion and film.
And: a best-of movie selection from the last four years, chosen by Diane Pernet especially for the festival. And if that doesn’t sound appealing then we don’t know what does!
