Düsseldorf's fashionistas celebrated until late into the night at the Cubic Studios yesterday: at the second Fashion Net Education Center, which provided guests with inspiration from noon until 8pm.
Presentations on the subject areas Innovation/Technology, Fashion Journalism and Design were supported by short fashion films and informed the audience about latest visions in the fashion industry. One of the most popular lectures was From Runway to Reality by Gala's head of fashion Marcus Luft: quotes and statements from Marc Jacobs, Christopher Bailey and Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada not only provided entertainment, but also made it clear to the audience of approx. 100 guests that no trend is developed by chance.
There was also a special focus on Thai designer Pim Sukhahuta. The philosophy of her label Sretsis is adding girly details and handicrafts to modern European prints.
The haute couture fashion show by Susanne Bisovsky was a great way to end the event: her Everlasting Collection show impressed 250 invited guests and was the icing on the cake of a very successful fashion day.
