The documentary “Marina Abramovic. The Artist is Present” by Matthew Akers celebrated its Europe premiere last Saturday during the 62nd Berlinale film festival in the German capital.
And to commemorate this, 250 guests were invited to the KW Institute for Contemporary Art for the "Silent Party" performance, which took place for the first time in 2010 at the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). The artist was also in attendance.
As one of the guests, I was able to draw the following conclusions:
Firstly: Not everyone who looks like a Margiela sales assistant is one.
Secondly: Not talking at an exhibition opening for a whole hour can be extremely relaxing.
Thirdly: If required, the popular Urbanears "Plattan" model will also fit over a fur hat. The film will also be shown on 18 and 19 February 2012, find out more at Berlinale.de
