This Friday, Berlin’s first culinary design festival starts at the beautifully restored Direktorenhaus in Berlin Mitte. The Taste festival will connect the sensual world of food with visionary ideas of design.
Around two hundred food designers, product designers, choreographs, artists, producers and chiefs are invited to inspire themselves and the visitors.
The 10-days-festival features exclusive exhibitions, among them a packaging exhibition which shows design trends of international food and drink packaging and an exhibition from the Museo Alessi with prototypes of Phillipe Starck, Salvador Dali or Alessandro Mendini. The festival also shows design projects from more than 50 internationally recognized designers and artists.
Furthermore food events, laboratories, instant-kitchens, street-foodbikes, georgeous dinner tables, garden parties, cinema screenings, pop-up tastings, mini-markets, presentations and parties can be visited during the festival.
