The dress goes by the delicately innocent name of 'Lulu' and is a mix between a politically charged item of clothing and junk art. It was designed and sewn by the 22-year-old Parisian student Flore Garcia Bour as a protest against the environmental pollution caused by carelessly discarded cigarette butts.

And this is exactly where the consciousness training begins: after all, only very few of you well-informed readers will know that the decomposition process of a cigarette can take up to 12 years. But let’s get back to Flore Garcia Bour, who collected thousands of brown butts on the streets of Paris and within three weeks of painstaking work and, despite the whiff of cold smoke, incorporated them into a dress. The complete documentation of the production process can be found at 'Le Mégot Défi' (which translates as: 'Declaration of war against cigarette butts'). Readers of the blog also have the opportunity to make a donation to help preserve the rainforest. Bonne action, Mlle Bour!
