The caricatures by Italian illustrator AleXsandro Palombo are providing us with our daily dose of humour. In his blog, 'Humor Chic - The Daily Society Portrait' he comments on events from the world of fashion and glamour with a sharp tongue and even sharper quill. And this is a sector that AleXsandro knows inside out - after all, he not only worked as creative director for the most important luxury fashion houses in Milan, Paris and Hong Kong for many years, but in 1998 he also launched his own fashion line. It's not only fashion designers and editors who find themselves the butt of his black-humoured caricatures, however, but also political personalities like Silvio Berlusconi and Barack Obama.
His darkly bitter, sometimes bloody illustrations have also provided inspiration for several print magazines. Recently model Lara Stone could be seen riding on an inflatable shark in the American lifestyle magazine 'Interview'; a reference to AleXsandro's motif entitled 'Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfield, Vogue's Sea'.
