On Sunday 24. July 2011 in the Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf the Fashion Net Düsseldorf e.V. Education Center took place for the first time. The event organiser, Fashion Net e.V., has set itself the aim of establishing a public information and education centre for fashion and lifestyle.
A laudable initiative, because in the lectures by the renowned speakers the audience gets insights into case studies that one would otherwise only get at university. From 12 noon till 8pm there are ten lectures on different perspectives of the fashion business.
The successful running of labels, tips for establishing fashion labels and insights into the day to day life at a progressive online journal 'The Vangardist' are a few of the topics. One of the highlights was definitely a look behind the scenes at the extraordinary labels Wendy & Jim, Peter Pilotto and Susanne Bisovsky.
The next Fashion Net Education Center is planned for Januar 2012 as part of the Düsseldorf trade fair and order days. Anyone interested can come to the event – as well as one-day tickets there are also tickets available for single lectures.
