If you're in Berlin at the moment you should drop in to the new Andreas Murkudis store in Potsdamer Straße 81 E in Berlin Tiergarten tomorrow from 2pm. Parallel to the "Lemke" exhibition by German artist Jürgen Partenheimer in the Mies van der Rohe Haus, Murkudis is exhibiting six objects by the artist, produced in cooperation with the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory.
Partenheimer, born in Munich in 1947, is one of the most significant artists of his generation, internationally. After countless solo shows and participation at the Venice, São Paulo and Paris Bienniales, a comprehensive retrospective was dedicated to him for the first time in 2000 as the first contemporary German artist, in China, in the national museums of Peking and Nanking.
The Munich-based Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory has been producing exclusive editions developed by artists and designers for a number of years.
